Groupe originaire de Copenhague, Takykardia sort son premier titre réussi, ‘Immortalized’, avec un clip esthétique.

Takykardia, tout jeune groupe danois découvert lors de son premier concert à Copenhague le 7 juin, sort son premier titre, accompagné de son clip, ‘Immortalized’.

Définissant leur musique comme de la « Trip-Soul« , Takykardia propose une synth pop aux accents soul, portée par la voix de la chanteuse Luna Eggers Matz et la batterie. Entre la pop aérienne d’Oh Land, la soul de Lianne La Havas et l’excentricité des Asteroids Galaxy Tour, le groupe invite aux songes et à la contemplation dans ce titre, comme bercé par la voix et le synthé très présent. Ce mélange hybride convainc par l’efficacité des titres et l’aspect mélodieux de ces derniers.

Cette sensation de légèreté est renforcée à la vision du clip qui laisse une place large au plans longs et ralentis, permettant de s’approprier davantage les images où rien n’est laissée au hasard. Minimaliste sans être dénué d’une esthétique réelle et affirmée, le film alterne entre le toit d’une ville avec des enfants jouant au cerf volant et d’un univers plus champêtre et bucolique avec la chanteuse, vêtue d’une robe dorée pour l’occasion. Deux univers bien différents qui se répondent avec des tons rosés similaires, puis l’arrivée du feu dans les deux en fin de clip avec l’arrivée de l’obscurité ( avec des cracheurs de feu d’un côté et un grand feu de bois de l’autre).

Pour pouvoir écouter les prochains morceaux, il va falloir être patient et attendre le 27 octobre la sortie de leur premier EP !

An invitation to a Danish journey of dreams with Takykardia’s first single.

Coming from Copenhagen, Takykardia just released a great firt single, Immortalized, with an aesthetic music video.

Takykardia, a young band discovered during their first concert in Copenhagen the 7th of June just released their first single called Immortalized.

Defining their music as “trip soul”, Takykardia produce a synth pop sound with soul influences. This is emphasized by the unique voice of singer, Luna Eggers Matz, and the significant drums. Between Oh Land’s aerial pop, Lianne la Havas’ soul, and the eccentricity of their Danish colleagues in The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, the band is inviting for dreams and contemplations. Lulled by Luna’s voice and the enchanting keyboards this hybrid mix melts together with the forceful production and the catchy melody.

This sensation of lightness is strengthened with the photography of the music video with many long and slow shots that allows the viewer to take a close look at the images, where nothing has been left to chance. It is minimalist without being deprived of real aesthetics. The video alternates between an urban roof with children flying kites and a bucolic atmosphere with the singer, dressed in a golden dress. Two very different worlds which respond to each other with similar pink tones, before the fire reaches the frame in the end of the video, darker than the beginning (with fire-swallowers on one side and a large bunfire on the other).

Now, we have to wait till their EP-release the 27th of October to listen to more of Takykardia’s songs. Be patient !
